Miles has been in the hair industry for 6 years now! Miles has been obsessed with hair since he can remember. He graduated from Arrojo Cosmetology School in NYC while working in a salon part-time. It was always Miles' dream to open his own salon and in October 2018 Miles Joseph Studios opened its doors! He is so passionate for the hair industry and being an amazing leader for his team!

Taylor is the heartbeat of the salon, our salon manager. She takes care of clients, marketing and everything in between. She has an amazing eye for design and makes it her mission to create an amazing client experience and work environment. Anything Taylor touches turns to gold!

cailyn

Cailyn is our newest talent at MJS. She has been a stylist for two years and joined us in June 2021. Cailyn truly loves what she does and gets a rush of happiness when her clients feel beautiful! Cailyn takes pride in her clean, precise work whether it's cutting or color. She loves blonding, layered haircuts, men's cuts, and gives a really good voluminous blowout! Her goal is for her clients to be completely relaxed and to trust her in providing the best service possible.

Lana has been in the beauty industry for 7 years now, she's so passionate about her work and truly loves what she does! Lana is always striving for greatness and always wants to continue her hair knowledge by attending different types of classes. Besides hair coloring and cutting, Lana is certified in hair extensions focusing on hand-tied extensions, lash extensions and microblading!

Dakota is a ROCKSTAR behind the chair! 

He started here in November 2019 and you would think he has been doing hair for years! He is so talented in all areas of hair and loves getting to know his clients. His favorite things to do behind the chair would be hand-tied extensions and balayage. If you make an appointment with him you will be so glad you did!

Hayley joined MJS in March of 2019 and she fits our vibe like no other! Hayley graduated cosmetology school in 2013 and has been doing amazing hair and creating connections with her clients ever since. Hayley has such a love for her career and loves making people feel good about themselves through her work. Hayley loves cutting all types of hair and transforming her clients with color projects!

Gabby is a jack of all trades, awesome barbering skills, balayage enthusiast, and phenomenal makeup artist. She has grabbed the attention of many since becoming a stylist two years ago. Miles Joseph Studios delivers a client experience unmatched by stylists and salon owners in the greater Hartford area. As a destination for reinvention, it brings big, bold ideas together and combines vintage and modern aesthetics to inspire timeless, sexy, charming choices by clients in the chair. 

 

Miles began his cosmetology journey in 2015, when he started his first job as a front desk employee at a local salon. Immediately, he fell in love with the industry. Miles attended the top-tier Arrojo Cosmetology School in SoHo, owned by Nick Arrojo, star of the hit TLC show What Not to Wear. Miles learned from highly respected industry experts, including a stylist for the Victoria's Secret fashion show. He excelled in his cosmetology education, and for the first time felt truly motivated and inspired. 

 

After graduation, Miles moved back to his hometown of South Windsor, CT and quickly grew a following at a local salon. He thrived doing hair, but realized that his early experience working at the front desk planted within him a desire to manage a salon of his own. On October 15, 2018, Miles opened a 3-chair salon, bringing his dream to life and fulfilling his desire to help others achieve growth and confidence.

Do you guys offer any discounts?


Yes! Your first time here at MJS we offer $10-20 off your total and every time you prebook your future appointments you will receive 10% off a service!




Do you accept tips on a card?


Unfortunately we only accept cash and Venmo!




What color line do you carry?


We use Oligo Calura color line! This color line is designed to maximize dye penetration and minimize hair damage. Oh and it smells AMAZING!




What's the difference between a balayage and a foil?


A balayage delivers a more lived in look and will provide more longevity while a foil will give you a "bright punch" and will still look amazing but definitely requires more upkeep.




What is your cancellation policy?


Exisiting clients: Any appointment over $75 will require a credit card to book. In the event you have to cancel, you have up to 48 hours to do so. Anything after 48 hours, must be rescheduled within 2 weeks of original appointment to avoid a charge. Failure to reschedule, your card will be charged 50% of the service(s) booked. In the event you reschedule your already rescheduled appointment, you will be charged 50% of the service(s) booked. New clients: An active credit card will be needed to book your appointment with us. In the event you have to cancel your appointment you will have up to 48 hours. Anything after 48 hours must either be rescheduled within 2 weeks of your appointment, or your card will be charged 100% off the service(s) booked. In the event you reschedule your already rescheduled appointment, you will be charged 100% of the service(s) booked and will not be allowed to make any future appointments at MJS.




Do you offer refunds?


In the result you are not satisfied with your service(s) at MJS, we will offer a "redo" free of charge within 2 weeks of your initial appointment. MJS does not offer monetary refunds.
