HOW WE CAME ABOUT...
Miles Joseph Studios was founded in October, 2018.
It was destined that Miles Joseph Mannarino became a part of the industry. After working as a front desk coordinator at a local hair salon at the age of seventeen, he decided to go to the highly acclaimed Arrojo Cosmetology School in Soho/Tribeca, NYC. During his time at Arrojo, Miles had the privilege of learning hair cutting techniques from Nick Arrojo himself, founder of the school and star of “What Not To Wear.” Miles was given the distinct honor of learning blow dry and styling techniques from Paul Merrit, who has worked on the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, ad campaigns for Maybelline, and many other credible gigs. While in school, Miles studied and trained using the Goldwell color line and continues using Goldwell because of the vibrant colors and endless possibilities they offer. After completing his program, he became DevaCurl certified at the age of nineteen.
Baptista “Bart” Acona, grandfather of Miles Mannarino, owned two elite and extremely popular barber shops in Queens, New York, in the 1940s. Bart, as clients called him, had an array of celebrity clientele along with other high profile socialites. Miles hopes to achieve the same level of success as his grandfather and continue innovating new techniques that inspires new talent.
After being in the industry and working as a hairstylist for three years, Miles has unlocked a burning desire to open his own salon. His goal being to create an environment that fosters innovative styles and techniques, a place to bend the rules, and leave behind a unique legacy and philosophy. Miles never wants his potential to be limited or suppressed. Extraordinary client care is what Miles Joseph Studios strives for, making sure every client leaves the salon with hair that has reached its full potential.
