Miles Joseph Studios delivers a client experience unmatched by stylists and salon owners in the greater Hartford area. As a destination for reinvention, it brings big, bold ideas together and combines vintage and modern aesthetics to inspire timeless, sexy, charming choices by clients in the chair.

Miles began his cosmetology journey in 2015, when he started his first job as a front desk employee at a local salon. Immediately, he fell in love with the industry. Miles attended the top-tier Arrojo Cosmetology School in SoHo, owned by Nick Arrojo.

After graduation, Miles thrived doing hair and had a burning desire to manage a salon of his own. In October 2018, Miles opened a 3-chair salon, bringing his dream to life and fulfilling his desire to help others achieve growth and confidence. Now in 2024 MJS has 12 chairs and 3 suites.

Meet Our Founder

Born and raised in South Windsor, Miles Joseph’s passion for hair began at a young age — long before it became his career. What started as “playing hairstylist” with his mom’s cosmetology school mannequins quickly evolved into a lifelong craft rooted in creativity, precision, and connection.

Now celebrating 10 years in the hair industry, Miles refined his skills at the renowned Arrojo Cosmetology School in Soho, New York City, where he was immersed in advanced technique and modern artistry. In the fall of 2018, he brought that experience home, opening Miles Joseph Studios with the vision of creating an elevated yet welcoming space grounded in quality, education, and community.

As a stylist and studio owner, Miles is known for his attention to detail, forward-thinking approach, and genuine love for the people he works with. He thrives on building relationships, meeting new clients, and continuously evolving alongside his team and the industry.

Outside the studio, Miles hosts a podcast where he discusses all things hair, the beauty industry, and pop culture. When he’s not behind the chair or on the mic, he enjoys staying active, bowling and playing kickball, spending time with his four dogs, and life as a fiancé.

For Miles, hair is more than a service — it’s an experience, a connection, and a craft he continues to refine every day.
